NODI MATHU BOI: Song of the River
Some friends embark on a voyage from the world’s smallest to the largest inhabited river island; from Umananda to Majuli. But one day they all had to come back leaving everything in the middle of nowhere. What happened to them?
Nodi Mathu Boi is an upcoming Assamese feature film based on a real story of 15 years of friendship. A Writer, a Photo Journalist, an Indie Filmmaker, an Artist along with a group of Dancers and Musicians started a cultural journey to complete their respective dream projects. The film deals with the crisis faced by these professionals during their journey and also after reaching the destination. A striking point of this film is that it is a fictional film with almost non fictional characters. The actors portrayed their real life characters in the film.
This film is written and directed by young filmmaker Jhulan Krishna Mahanta who is also an editor and a musician by profession. Jayashree Mahanta is the producer of the film and the script is written by Dharmajyoti Baruah, Rontu and Jhulan Krishna Mahanta. The music is arranged by Sorav Mahanta and the dances are choreographed by Upasasna Mahanta.
