The International Social Work Day was today commemorated under the aegis of NEF Group of Colleges. The Department of Social Work and Management and Technology took the initiative on this auspicious occasion towards creating an atmosphere where the spirit of social work can be instilled amongst the minds of the people.
Students from the aforesaid department provided water to the elderly people, coming for treatment in GMCH, children below poverty line and all those people who come to the rapidly growing city of Guwahati in search of their livelihood. Besides this noble initiative the students also campaigned for the necessity to facilitate proper sanitation and the importance to remain clean.
