Indian-American felicitated for strengthening Indo-US ties

A K Mago, who is the chairman of  a Dallas- based business and investment consulting company and also a recipient of the Padmashri Award, was felicitated at an event which was organized by the US Indian Chamber of Commerce in Dallas. He was felicitated for his contributions to strengthening the Indo-US ties.

Top Republican Senator John Cornyn said that if it weren’t for A K Mago, he would not have the occasion to visit India. Cornyn , who co-founded the Senate Indian Caucus with then Senator Hillary Clinton attributed the formation of this Caucus to Mago.

He further said, “AK more than anybody I know, has nourished and encouraged people like me and acknowledge the contribution that the Indian American community has made in the United States,”

Congressman Pete Sessions said that Mago played a key role in Texan understanding the people. He further said that there were days and nights when AK used to travel and talk and be proud of the country that he knows and loves well.

Also S Jaishankar, the Indian Ambassador to the US, said that Mago is a success story in the United States, a wonderful example of equality of opportunity that this society symbolizes.
