Nagaon Workshop

The Learning Curve, a Guwahati based professional institute in association with All India Liberty Foundation, at Nagaon organized a three day workshop on modeling by eminent fashion stylist and designer, Mr. Chow Poran J. Gogoi. Miss Haya Baruah, Kingfisher Calendar girl 2012 was the mentor. The workshop also provided lessons on photography by one of the leading fashion photographer of North East, Mr. Shantanu Bora.
The idea behind organizing the workshop was to find out the hidden talents amongst the youths of Nagaon, to provide them an exposure, compete with the best and learn from the best. It was seen that a good number of boys and girls participated enthusiastically in the workshop and they were very much eager to learn the nuisance of modeling and photography.
DAY 1
It began with an introduction session between the participants and the mentors, and as the day went on the mentors taught the participants nuisances of modeling and photography. As far as modeling was concerned Mr. Chow Poran J. Gogoi provided the participants lessons on how to walk on the ramp and how one should hold his pose and facial expressions.
On the other hand, Mr. Shantanu Bora taught the participants rules of photography and different shots in photography.
DAY 2
The second day happened to be more hectic as both Mr. Chow Poran J. Gogoi and Mr. Shantanu Bora went on to give some extra lessons to the participants. The participants seemed to be enjoying the workshop as they paid total attention to whatever the mentors were saying.

Mr. Chow Poran J. Gogoi asked the participants to repeat whatever was taught the previous day and added some more new lessons as the day went on.

The photography participants were asked by Mr. Shantanu Bora to do some On the Spot Photography.
DAY 3
Day three spanned out to be as an examination day for the participants as the mentors asked them to show on their own whatever they learned the previous two days.

The mentors seemed to be happy with the way the participants showed improvement in their skills and the way the workshop went as a whole.

The participants expressed their happiness by saying that such kind of workshop should happen in a regular basis. They had high praises for Mr. Chow Poran J. Gogoi, Miss Haya Barua and Mr. Shantanu Bora as they could learn a lot from them.
