The Media Management & Research Association, Guwahati, released two books in the book releasing function recently at Guwahati Press Club. The function was  inaugurated by Sri Kanak Sen Deka, Ex-President, Asom Sahitya Sabha, and Editor, Agradoot,  in the presence of chief guest, Sri Bhubeneswar Kalita, Hon’ble MP and guest of honor Anish Uj Jaman, Poet and Ex-President of Sadau Assam Kabi Sanmilan, Dr. Dayananda Pathak, Writer etc.

“Journalism & Media Industry of North East India”, the first ever research book in Journalism & Media fields in NE India. The book is a compilation of 25 research papers and 1 radio script on different aspects of Journalism & Media Industry in North East Region. The book has been conceptualized and fashioned in the special initiatives of Zakirul Alam, the founder president of the Media Management & Research Association, Guwahati, Assam.

And the editor of the book-Zakirul Alam, Chief Advisor- Sri Tarun Gogoi, Hon’ble CM of Assam, Advisors are Kanak Sen Deka(Editor), Bhubeneswar Kalita(MP), Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma(Minister), Basanta Das(Minister), Dr. Mridul Hazarika(VC), Prof. Srinath Baruah(VC), Prof. Okhil Kr. Medhi(Ex-VC) Dr. Dayananda Pathak(Writer), Adil Hussain(Bollywood Actor), Sarat Borkataky(MLA & EX-Minister) and other prominent educationist and Media persons.

The book is a humble attempt to touch upon and highlight the important areas of the Society. It is also designed as a reference book targeting all faculties, research scholars and students of Mass Communication & Journalism in Universities, Colleges, Institutions, Media houses etc.

Another book is “Dharma Sikshya Bighyan Aru Songbad Madhyam” an Assamese book, author-Zakirul Alam. This book is compilation of 33 selected Assamese articles published in different news papers, magazines etc. in last 11 years and foreword by Kanak Sen Deka. These articles reflect authors’ own analytical views on different issues according to the demand of time.  TMN
