Flying into the new Horizons with Ashoka IAS Academy
A Seminar on civil services exam was organized at Nowgong College on 8th of January by Ashoka IAS Academy in association with Nowgong College’s training and placement cell. Titled as METAMORPHOSE, the topic for the seminar was ‘Civil Services as a career and strategies to crack the exam’.
“ There’s a void of a good counseling centre which can simplify and properly guide the aspiring students for the competitive exams. Ours is a sincere initiative to allay the fear from the minds of the students and rightly prepare the students for the exams conducted by UPSC and APSC”, said Miss Honey Bhuyan, the director of the institute.
“This seminar is just the beginning in creating an atmosphere where competitive exams and the complexities and myths surrounding them will get busted and a new wave where the urge to know anything related to competitive exams will be ushered”, said Mr. Rishab Baruah, another crucial official of the academy who himself is one of the most sought after instructor for competitive exams.
Siddartha Dutta, another speaker on the occasion delved deep into the terrains which hinders students from coming out of their cobweb.
Its always the vibrant and dynamic civil servants who can build a strong nation. Civil servants are at the helm of affairs of the entire functioning of the government machinery. Civil servants to a great extent can ensure the timely completion of government projects, transparency in the very functioning of different government departments etc.
With the renewed realization of nation building in the present regime, there is a surge of civil service aspirants even in the Northeastern region of India. We could see the inadequacy of good ‘competitive exams’ coaching centers in the region. Keeping in mind this vacuum here in Assam and with honest intentions to fill this with their expertise, the promoters of Ashoka IAS Academy has taken this noble initiative at Nagaon.
