Guwahati, May 3:  Human rights are always been a burning debated topic around the globe. Many organizations and groups were formed to address these needs. In a bid to provide a platform for the various issues of Human Rights and to exchange of knowledge, ideas and learning experience among the people, information specialist and scholars at large, the National Seminar on ‘Human Rights and Global Challenges’ will be organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Guwahati College in collaboration with UNESCO on 20th& 21st May 2017 at the college premises.

The seminar will focus on various issues of Human rights such as curricular aspects of higher education, the role and importance of education, in academic administration, environmental protection, role of media, IT, women studies, rights of differently abled person, feminism, political rights in higher education, role of NGOs, economic rights etc.

The Principal and Chairman, Dr. Pranab Sandilya said that so far 150 delegates have given their confirmation for attending the seminar from around the country who are eminent academicians, research scholars, experts and students where papers will be presented and deliberated upon by them on the topics relevant to the theme of the Seminar. In these two days’ seminar, there will be various technical sessions which would be chaired by eminent academicians. Dr. Safiqur Rahman, Organizing Secretary said that those who are interested to participate may send their abstract before 15th May 2017.
