DARSHANA’S Automotive Training and Research Institute is going to organize its third Women Power Car Rally on 31st of January, 2016. The main objective of the car rally is to encourage more women to come to this exciting field of motor sports and also to make womenfolk aware about the traffic rules and regulations and  various other aspects of driving safely. The technicalities of the rally will be monitored by the officials of North – Eastern Motor Sports Association (NEMA) which is under the Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI). This event is based on TSD (Time speed and Distance) format.

This initiative infact will help to a great extent in empowering and emboldening the women of the region.  The pristine attempt on the part of DATRI ( Darshana’s Automotive Training and Research Institute) has since 2003 trained more than 4000 women drivers.

Wowen empowerment is all about empowering the women to take their own decisions for their personal independence. It is also to make them independent in all aspects of life through mind, thought, rights, decisions, etc by leaving aside all the social and family limitations. This Women Power Car Rally indeed will glorify and celebrate the power of women  and showcase their strength and  prowess.

Darshana Sengupta , the person behind DATRI and Women Power Car Rally has been relentlessly working towards making the women of  our region more confident and independent. “ We have been organizing this Women Power  Car Rally since last three years. Last year we also had international representation. This time we are expecting more participation by women both nationally and internationally. I would like to  call upon all those ladies who have not been able to come out of their household chores  to come, participate and make this event a success. It is an earnest effort to celebrate and rejoice the womenhood”, said Darshana Sengupta.

Her unparalleled service towards empowering the Northeastern women for more than a decade is praiseworthy. Women from every walk of life should come forward and extend their support in whichever way they could in this noble cause undertaken by this brave lady.
