The Mantra Grooming Academy of Guwahati has organized a grooming workshop, named as, ‘The Grooming Guide’, for the younger generation who are interested in the glamour and fashion world. The event was powered by “Mantra Media & Events”. It was a week – long workshop from 23rd July, 2015 – 30th July, 2015. It introduced & trained the aspirants the basics of modelling, communication skills, personality enhancement, yoga, fitness & diet regime, hair & make-up. The students were trained under the experienced guidance of some of the best & most famous faces in the industry, which included Rewati Chetri– Femina Miss India Finalist 2015, Chow Poran J Gogoi– Fashion Designer & choreographer, lifestyle skills and Personality Enhancement and Thaneswar Rovi– Professionals Model and actor.
The lessons on Communication Skills were given by Dipankar Bhattacharya– Faculty Empanelled with Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Hair make-up & styling classes were given by Meenakshi Dowerah at Mallaika’s beauty salon. Fitness & Yoga lessons were given at Slimming Zone Gym, Hatigaon by Mintu Baruah. Other guest mentors of the workshop included Costume Designer Nang Anne Gogoi and Fashion stylist Lopa Baruah from Vogue, Bangalore.
In the workshop, the students also performed in mock ramp walk. The chairman of the Mantra Group, Meghraj Upadhyay declared that they will also have “The Grooming Guide” for August & September session. Rewati Chetri mentioned that she is very much thankful to the chairman & managing director of the group that they gave her this opportunity to groom boys and girls and make them professional individuals in the field of glamour & fashion world.
