Guwahati, 19 May – With a 33 degree Celsius heated summer, the NSUI is all set to go for the final election on 19th May 2015 in Guwahati, thereby setting the stage ready for the formation of the new state committee and results of the same will be known after 8 p.m. the same day. This election has been a process of electing the young candidates in a democratic way. The youths looming in the field of politics can be acknowledged by the fact that more and more young souls are joining NSUI under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Huge numbers of female candidates have also been in the list of candidature this year making a correct platform for the youngsters.

The election commenced in 26 districts of Assam and the winning candidates from each district went to the final state election of NSUI. Breaking the earlier system of selection, election has been a way to ensure fair and secure selection of the candidates. The candidate receiving maximum votes will become the State President of NSUI followed by State Vice President and so on according to the post. With around 1,01,557 students joining NSUI this year, the number of participation has been more than double. The youth of Assam is on the track of proving that politics is not just a dirty game rather a way to clean the society by being in the system. The result may designate few winning candidates their designated positions but the participatory data successfully roars of the verity that “young India” can make a change and they are ready for it.
