GUWAHATI, MAY 12: Cigma India’s career guidance and scholarship development programme held at the Veterinary Science College Auditorium on Tuesday drew a huge crowd of students and their parents who expressed deep satisfaction at the outcome of the programme. Over 500 students from 12 schools and junior colleges, drawn from Guwahati and other towns of Assam, participated in this programme which is part of the ‘Career Yatra 2015’ covering 25 towns and cities across India.
While welcoming the audience and guests, Dr MRH Azad, Deputy Manager, Ajmal Foundation informed the gathering that Ajmal Foundation has been recently nominated as the best NGO in skill development by Assocham India (Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi) thus giving the Foundation a pan India recognition in skill training and livelihood mission.
In his keynote address, Khasrul Islam, Manager, Ajmal Foundation said that their Foundation lays a lot of stress on education and therefore they have already established 20 colleges in Assam and plan to set up another 10 during the current year. Simultaneously there is focus on students’ personality development and career growth for which reason an internationally renowned motivator like Ameen-e-Mudassar, CEO Cigma India, has been invited to address students and parents on the topic of career guidance in Guwahati.
In his two-hour long presentation, Mudassar dealt separately for 10+ and 12+ students on matters such as choosing a career, and obtaining the right scholarship for pursuing a bright career. A career guidance book ‘What Next?’ authored and compiled by Mudassar was unveiled on the occasion and distributed free of cost to the students attending the programme.
