AJMAL CSR ANNOUNCES DONATION OF Rs 10 LAKH FOR QUAKE VICTIMS OF NEPAL

GUWAHATI, MAY 1: The two leading social organisations of Assam, Ajmal Foundation and Markazul Ma’arif, extended a donation of Rupees ten lakh to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for assistance to worst affected people in Nepal on account of the recent earthquake that devastated the country, an official release of Ajmal Foundation said on Friday.

 

M Badruddin Ajmal, MP & CEO of Ajmal CSR organisations in a message sent to the media said, “The Ajmal CSR organisations have always undertaken a commendable step to stand by the people at the time of natural calamities that have occurred in Assam from time to time as well as in other states of India at different times. This time also when our neighbouring country Nepal is hugely affected by the devastating earthquake, Ajmal Foundation and Markazul Ma’arif, both the organisations have taken a human initiative to help the needy and affected people of the beleaguered country”.  Ajmal further mentioned that a team of volunteers from both the organisations will move to Nepal soon with required relief materials.

 

Sirajuddin Ajmal, MP & Managing Trustee, Ajmal Foundation in another message remarked, “The CSR units of Ajmal are always ready to jump into action whenever any community is hit by a calamity, be it natural or manmade, and this time it is no exception. Nepal is our neighbour and we must stand by their side both at the time of their joy and sorrow as well.”
